Landfill Diversion
One of the most important aspects of our work is keeping waste plastic out of the environment. In our little studio in the Bronx, we have been able to divert thousands of pounds of waste plastic from landfills and the greater environment. Imagine where this could go!
The average interaction time with disposable plastics is about 15-20 minutes. All the plastic ever produced still exists in the environment. How much is that?
8.3 billion metric tons. Production of new plastics is only growing exponentially, severly lacking end of life strategies :(
